I was surfing the Internet the other day and I came across and article that read, "Male Porn Star Tests Positive for HIV." Why am I not surprised? Why is the porn industry shutting down production, only to find every woman he has been in contact with? The safest sex is abstinence, but protecting yourself by using a condom can cut the risks down of contracting STDs. The article points out that unprotected sex scenes produce more money than unprotected sex scenes. Anyone in the porn industry who chooses to do unprotected scenes should not be surprised that they contracted HIV. The article stated that the porn industry has protocol to follow of testing actors/actresses in order help prevent them from contracting the disease.
I'm just curious of how many times that actor took the test and it came back negative. If the test came back negative after his first job in the porn industry shouldn' t that be his sign to get out of that life before it is too late. I know that some people like living on the edge, but you have to know your limits or you will get burned. Follow your sign. At some point, a person has to make a decision whether to live or die. It seems that the porn star chose the latter. Money is the root of all evil, and the devil succeeds when he entices you with that need for money. The porn star knew the risks of having unprotected sex and now he is going to be out of a job and basically hand in his porn card. I'm just using this article as an example of how important it is to keep your morals in tact and to never give up on your exit plan at first chance. After my first HIV test came back negative, I made a decision to never have unprotected sex until I got married. I chose to give myself a chance to live.
The HIV test is known to come back negative up to 6 months after contact to HIV. The porn industry makes a lot of money. These people should be check often to make it safe for others they contact. I wonder will they qualify for workers comp. If not, that is bad for the people in that industry.
ReplyDeleteit just goes to show you that people do not take the time to view their own actions, the lives they affect and the homes they reck. life is valuable and God intended us to enjoy life to the fullest in purest form of Holiness. we should love life and most of all love God for giving us this life. i agree, abstinence is the key to being safe.
ReplyDeleteI had this talk with my freshmen last week. Sex isn't safe unless it's protected, and, while abstinence is best, teenagers aren't going to listen to that--well, really, most people won't listen to that!
